The Verdict
This cab is a mess. That 20/100 Sweetwater score tells you everything: this is a budget MDF box trying to ride the EVH name, and it’s not working. Sure, one reviewer defending the cab called negative reviewers fools, but when multiple users report buzzing and one admits it’s just a “participation trophy” compared to Mesa cabs, the writing’s on the wall. The custom Celestions are fine for high-gain saturation, but MDF construction at $680 is a bad value. Save another $200 and get a real plywood cab from Orange or Mesa. This Iconic cabinet is iconic for the wrong reasons.
