I spent my entire morning glued to the Guitar Center site like a kid outside a candy store just staring at gear I definitely don’t need but definitely want. You know the drill.
The good news? This isn’t one of those fake 10% off “sales.” Some of these prices are seriously good like $100+ off guitars and amps you’d actually use. If you’re in the market for a new guitar, amp, or multi-FX unit, here are a few deals that genuinely stand out.
Fender Player II Models — Now Under $700 (And In British Racing Green!)
Fender Player II Jazzmaster – $679.99 (Save $170)

I’m a sucker for a Jazzmaster, and this Player II version just nails it. Great neck feel, Alnico pickups that lean nicely into shoegaze, dream-pop, or even clean indie stuff, and that finish? Chef’s kiss.
- Alnico pickups with great clarity and attack
- Modern “C” neck with rolled edges = feels amazing out of the box
- Limited-run British Racing Green finish looks boutique without the boutique price
- $170 off makes this one of the best-value Jazzmasters on the market right now
I’ve spent real time with the Player II range and they’re serious instruments. Fender fixed a lot of the small annoyances from the earlier Player series—like neck feel and pickup voicing—and made these feel much more like their US cousins.
Fender Player II Stratocaster – $699.99 (Save $140)

The Strat is the Swiss Army Knife of guitars, and this one just became even more tempting at under 700 bucks. It has:
- The same British Racing Green finish (a Guitar Center exclusive)
- A Modern “C” neck with rolled fretboard edges (it feels expensive)
- Solid Alnico pickups that hold up for everything from clean funk to overdriven leads
If you’re a gigging player or just want a do-it-all Strat, this is a no-brainer at this price. It feels like a pro guitar because it is.
BOSS Katana Gen 3 50W – $299.99 (Save $50)

This is my daily driver amp, and it’s not just because of the price. The Gen 3 Katana really upped the game—especially the “Pushed” mode, which finally gives you that edge-of-breakup feel we’ve all been trying to dial in.
- 6 amp characters with new voicings
- USB recording out and Boss Tone Studio for full control
- Loud enough for gigs, clean enough for recording
- Weighs less than my pedalboard
Seriously, if you’re doing home recording or want a dependable gigging combo that doesn’t suck down tubes or your bank account, this is the amp. At $299, it’s basically a steal.
Line 6 HX Stomp – $599.99 (Save $100)

If someone broke into my house and made off with all my gear, the HX Stomp would be one of the first things I’d replace. I don’t say that lightly. This thing is stupidly good.
- Full Helix engine in a tiny box
- Perfect for silent recording, gigging, or throwing on a board
- USB interface, reamping, headphone out—it’s a studio tool disguised as a pedal
I’ve tracked entire demo sessions with this and even some final guitars for indie releases. It’s quiet, versatile, and portable. I can run it direct into the board or into my interface and get better tones than most tube amps with a SM57.
It also plays really nice with your pedalboard if you just want it for FX. But if you want to go full amp/cab sim and ditch your rig, it’s ready to do that too.
So… Should You Jump on These?
If you’ve been eyeing a Player II Strat or Jazzmaster, I’d say yes. These aren’t clearance-tier specs—they’re legit pro-level guitars that just happen to be on sale. Same with the Katana Gen 3 and HX Stomp. I already own both, and I’d absolutely buy them again.
The beauty here is that all four of these items are modular:
- Want a lightweight gigging setup? Katana + Strat.
- Want a silent home recording rig? HX Stomp + Jazzmaster.
- Want both? You’re still spending less than a single Custom Shop guitar.
